Privacy Policy

MichuTech Training Center (“MichuTech”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy in full compliance with Ethiopia’s Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024 and Google Play Console policies.

1. Information We Collect

We follow strict data minimization. We only collect:

• Firebase anonymous User ID
• Signup timestamp
• Browser user-agent string (first 100 characters)
• Track interest (placeholder until you choose)

We never collect your name, email, phone number, or use cookies/tracking pixels on this site.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To process your bootcamp registration
• To issue your official MichuTech Certificate
• To send important program updates
• For internal, anonymized statistics

3. Data Sharing & Transfers

Your data stays in Firebase (Ethiopia-compliant regions). We never sell it. It is shared only with:

• Google Firebase (as data processor)
• Ethiopian legal authorities (if legally required)
• Mentors/partners (only with your explicit consent on the final day)

4. Data Security & Retention

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We notify the Ethiopian Communications Authority and affected users within 72 hours in case of a breach. Data is kept for the duration of the Bootcamp + 12 months, then deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights (PDPP)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data — free of charge. Simply email privacy@michutech.et.

6. Children and Underage Content Declaration

This Bootcamp and all associated digital content, tools, apps, and platforms are strictly intended for individuals 18 years of age and older.

We do not knowingly collect, process, or store personal data from children under the age of 13. For participants aged 13–17, we require verifiable parental or legal guardian consent before any registration or data processing occurs. Underage applicants (below 18) must obtain explicit parental/guardian consent and may be asked for additional age verification.

All content, training materials, Telegram bots, no-code tools, and any companion apps fully comply with:

• Ethiopia’s Personal Data Protection Proclamation (PDPP) child-protection provisions
• Google Play Console policies on age-appropriate content, data safety, and child-directed services
• International best practices (including COPPA principles where applicable)

We maintain age-gating mechanisms, do not use targeted advertising to minors, and ensure no inappropriate or harmful content is presented. Account deletion is available on request for any underage participant or parent/guardian.

7. Google Play Console Compliance

All companion apps, bots, or digital tools follow the latest Play policies. Full Data Safety section is maintained and account deletion is available on request.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will be changed. Continued use means you accept the changes.
